Bodywork centered in female health and physiology.

Hands on, Hands in.

Layer by layer, supporting the body in her reorganization of fascia, tissues and organs.

In this shared journey, we are reminded that we are not alone. We are a part of a continuum, a lineage of women who have walked this path before us and who will continue to walk it long after we are gone.

This style of bodywork works in wholeness; transforming and softening the flesh, tending to years of tension and adhesions while meeting the stories held within a woman's body.

Womb Continuum Care draws from structural integration, myofascial, Mayan and traditional Mexican abdominal, pelvic and visceral therapies. â€‹â€‹â€‹

Care

  • What is Womb Continuum Care? Is it massage?
Firstly, Womb Continuum Care is not massage. Using a hands on approach, this bodywork focuses on opening up fascia and tissues to bring structures back into alignment. By addressing the mobility of the superficial to deep fascial layers and tissues, we also aid in healing the motility of our internal organs and how they function as a whole. Unlike massage that works to knead and push tension and pains away, WCC works in wholeness; softening and opening up your flesh, meeting areas of discomfort and stories and encouraging the melting away of years of tension and adhesions. Womb Continuum care draws from structural integration, myofascial, Mayan and traditional Mexican abdominal, pelvic and visceral therapies.
  • Can I receive this work if I have a Coil/IUD?
Unfortunately, no. As we are working manually to open and increase mobility within your tissues, there is a risk that your coil could be moved from its intrauterine position. If the coil were to dislodge, it could perforate through the layers of your uterus and create damage to surrounding tissues. Supporting your body in returning to her natural way of being is directly correlated with the removal of synthetic hormones and foreign objects within the womb and body.
  • What does a session look like?
We begin each session with assessing your posture before moving to the table. Most of your session will be spent lying on your back or on your side. We will then spend the allotted time tuning in to your body and providing hands on touch and care, focusing on fascial and belly work. Belly work includes the abdominal and pelvic tissues and organs. Every session is different and is attuned to your body’s needs and openness.
  • How should I prepare for my session?
On the day of your session, it is important that your skin is clean and free of moisturizers, oils and perfumes. Depending on your comfortability, you may choose to wear a loose tank top, bralette and/or underwear (no bra) or alternatively, you may choose to refrain from wearing any clothing. Blankets are provided for the duration of the session. If you’re wishing to prepare your tissues leading up to your session, I suggest daily castor oil packing. This can be done anywhere on the body, but as we are focusing on your belly and womb, it is recommended to begin here. This will support the softening of fascia, tissues, and adhesions at the level of and deep to the skin. This ultimately offers greater access to tissue layers and organs, optimizing how deep we can go in your session. This work is deep and requires your full awareness and embodiment. Because of this, I require sobriety from various substances. On the day of your session, no bodywork will be provided if you are under the influence of alcohol, psychedelics or antipsychotics. Please be in touch if you are in the process of actively weaning off of substances or medication (these include stimulants and antidepressants).
  • How many sessions are recommended?
Womb Continuum Care is a continuum. Rebuilding a strong foundation requires unraveling what has built up and become stuck. As our bodies hold onto emotions, memories, and pain in unique ways, it is important that we work with your body to unwind years of tension and adhesions. The number of sessions depends on your health goals and desires. I’m a believer that lasting change takes patience, commitment and faith. I recommend committing to 3 - 6 sessions to support your body on her journey back home. Booking an initial session is a great place to start.
  • Where do sessions take place?
I currently travel to you for Womb Care sessions. There is no additional fee if you reside within the city of Edinburgh and locations within a certain distance south of Edinburgh. If you are located outside of these areas, there is an additional fee. If this is the case, please contact me directly for specific pricing!
  • Can I receive womb care if I am pregnant or postpartum?
As the first trimester is a crucial time in fetal development, womb work after 14 weeks is recommended. Into the second trimester and throughout the remainder of your pregnancy, Womb Continuum Care can be beneficial for you and baby by creating more space and optimizingoptimising flow as your body changes and baby grows. You can definitely receive this care postpartum. If you had a vaginal delivery, this is an option immediately afterwards. If the baby was born via cesarean section, it is best to wait 10-12 weeks post surgery.
  • What if I have my period on my session date? Should I cancel?
Absolutely not. Womb Continuum Care is for women during any and all cycles of life. That includes wherever you are within your menstrual cycle at the time of session. Receiving hands on touch can be especially beneficial during this time.
  • Can my daughter receive this care? Is she too young?
Yes! I offer shorter sessions at discounted rates for girls aged 13 - 18. I require a parent to be present for these sessions.
  • Is there any reason I can’t receive womb care?
I only work with those consuming animal products as your tissues are more responsive and more likely to yield positive long-term results. Belly piercings need to be removed for belly work, and if requiring support in scar tissue remediation, these piercings need to stay removed.
  • Do you offer sliding scale prices?
If you are struggling to pay for basic needs such as housing, food, and health care or are living paycheque to paycheque, please contact me and we can discuss options.

Care

“bone of my bone

and flesh of my flesh”

-Genesis 2:23

"This is the kind of body work I wish for every woman."

Chelsea offered me the most potent body work I've ever received. She was so warm, and created an environment where I felt safe to relax and trust.

In our two sessions, we were able to release my body from a frequent nausea I've had for many years. Releasing also tensions in my jaw and hips.

Chelsea was absolutely fantastic at holding space for me as emotions moved through me. There was a moment while she was working on my lower belly that I had flashback memories of my abortion and how I had felt so scared. Gently, I was able to ease that part of me, letting it know it doesn't have to be scared anymore.

It was so powerful both from the perspective of healing my body and healing the emotions stored in my womb.

After our sessions, my blood has been really bright and my period shorter, without any spotting.

This is the kind of body work I wish for every woman. I will certainly want to work with her again.”
